Week Notes W11-25
Things have become more focused at work, but the extra clarity and motivation meant a busier than normal week. I do feel that I should ease up a bit so I can rest and recharge more. Aside from work, last week:
- I tried a new recipe for Instant Pot salmon rice. I’m trying to use up our pantry, so I used some of our dried shiitake mushrooms and frozen salmon. It turned out fairly bland, so next time I’ll add more salt and seasoning.
- I ordered some more barista toys for home espresso. I’m not getting the consistency I want, so I’m going to see if a mini-coffee scale can help me refine my workflow.
- I think tweaking my Emacs config is my new unofficial hobby. Ever since 30.1 dropped, I’ve been re-evaluating and cleanup up my packages. Hopefully, I’m almost done.
- I may be falling down another rabbit hole. Every few years or so, I get the urge to redo my computing ecosystem. I think I’ll dust off my NixOS configs and see what’s changed recently.
- I need to find the next series to watch since I’m now all caught up on Bungo Stray Dogs. Maybe I’ll just not start anything new for a while.
- I won the 50/50 in ZZZ and got SAnby after 90 pulls. She can now go sit next to my unleveled Miyabi since I’m still working on my Ben team. Doing the monthly pass again was probably a mistake, though. I already missed a few dailies because I was too busy with work.
