Week Notes W12-25
Last week was a fairly tiring week, starting off with rain and ending with a lazy weekend to recharge. More notable things did happen, though:
- Xiaohei had his dental visit, and due to teeth burrs, he had his molars ground. He’s on daily pain meds, but he’s back to eating and pooping and is basically normal now.
- I made carnitas on Sunday since we impulse bought a big cut of pork shoulder (it was on sale!). We’re looking forward to tacos for the next few days; we picked up some new sauces to try, too. I’ve been so busy lately, I had forgotten how nice and relaxing it is to cook.
- I’m waiting for Framework to release details on what’s next for the Framework Laptop 16, since it’s likely to be my next laptop. I’m in no hurry since my current hardware (Thinkpad X1 Nano Gen1, and a Surface Pro 9) works fine. I may also pick up the Desktop for local LLM use, but we’ll see.
- Our neighbor is selling his unit and moving out of state. I keep telling K that I’m pretty sure our complex is now mostly renters anyways. So many of our neighbors have changed recently.
